Hab ihr auch schon von dem Phänom des Blutmondes gehört? Kannte ich vorher noch nicht.
Das Spektakel startet ( also die totale Phase ) heute um 4.11 Uhr bis 5.23 Uhr. Das nächste Mal wird es erst wieder 2033 so weit sein.
 
Die NASA hat für Montag eine Pressekonferenz angekündigt, auf der das Mars-Rätsel gelöst wird. Ist bestimmt ordentlich Zunder für diverse Verschöwungstheorien, vor allem weil man von manchen Medien hört, dass es ein wissenschaftliches Jahrhunderereignis werden soll, was enthüllt wird. ^^

Tja. Das ist wohl gar nicht so klar. Die NASA hat das anscheinend sehr mystisch angekündigt. Da es aber eine "bahnbrechende wissenschaftliche Entdeckung" sein soll, könnte es sich um Wasser oder vielleicht sogar Lebensformen oder Reste davon handeln? Kann aber natürlich auch sein, dass man da als Amateur voll auf dem Holzweg ist und es nur was brauchbares für richtige Profi sein wird.^^
 
ich gehe mal davon aus, dass das atmospärische Methan-Mysterium (auf)gelöst wird.

An die fettest denkbare Überraschung glaube ich nicht: BIO.
Wenns auch noch so schön wäre.

Allerdings bin ich bei der NASA vorsichtig. Die Art Öffentlichkeitsarbeit gefällt mir nicht: mit großem Trommelwirbel kryptisch "DIE" Sensation andeuten, Spekulationen befeuern sowie bei Laien eine riesige Erwartungshaltung aufbauen und dann ist es doch "nur" eine weitere Erkenntnis die hauptsächlich die Fachleute interessiert - so interessant die Erkenntnis auch sein mag.
 
Sehe ich auch so, ich glaube nicht an einen großen Hammer, einfach weil es zu oft passiert, besonderes anzukündigen und dann nur semiinteressantes zu bieten. Zu Mal man mit solchen Ankündigungen sich dann auch gegen Kritik leicht wehren kann, in dem man einfach sagt, dass das ja wissenschaftlich trotzdem was ganz besonders wichtiges ist und es ja nicht Schuld der Wissenschaftler ist, wenn das gemeine Publikum zuviel erwartet. Also ich schraube meine Erwartung da weit runter.
 
Wahrscheinlich wird es darum gehen wie man einen bemannten Flug zum Mars durchführen wird und dort dann genügend Treibstoff sammeln/herstellen wird können um einen Rückflug durchführen zu können. Wobei davon auszugehen ist das man wohl zuerst Roover hinschicken wird müssen der den Treibstoff erst mal anreichert.
Immerhin hat die NASA ja schon gesagt das bis 2035 einen bemannten Marsflug mit Rückfahrkarte durchführen will.
 
Die PK läuft zwar noch, aber man kann schon jetzt sagen, dass die Enthüllung doch auch schon den ein oder anderen Amateur interessieren kann. Es wurden Hinweise auf Wasser auf dem Mars entdeckt. Aber nicht etwa Wasser, das schon vor mehrere Tausend Jahren verschwand, sondern aktuell wohl noch vorhandenes.

Neben der Möglichkeit, dass Leben auf dem Mars besteht oder bestanden hat, eröffnet dies wahrscheinlich neue Möglichkeiten für einen bemannten Raumflug.

Das war sehr gute Promo für die NASA. Jetzt wird bestimmt wieder mehr Geld in die Raumfahrt gepumpt.
 
Flüssiges Wasser ist natürlich schon eine Nummer, da hat sich die Konferenz würde ich sagen gelohnt. Da kann man wirklich gespannt sein, was der Mars noch für uns bereithält.
 
Entweder übersehe ich da eine Sensation, oder ich weiß auch nicht... die Flüssigkeitsrinnen auf den Berghängen sind doch schon länger bekannt.

Und hier wird auch wieder nur von "wahrscheinlich", "womöglich" und "vielleicht" gesprochen. Vielleicht kann mich hier mal freundlicherweise jemand aufklären :D

Also so wie ich das verstanden habe, wurde anhand von Messdaten festgestellt, das in den Sommermonaten eine Art Salzlauge an den steilen Berghängen runterläuft. Ich habe es aber so aufgefasst, als ob dies jetzt bewiesen ist.

Übrigens auf die Frage einer Journalistin in welcher Größenordnung man sich das gefundene Wasser vorstellen kann, ob es ein Fluss oder eine Pfütze ist, kam die Antwort "Man sollte sich eher nasse Erde vorstellen." :D
Aber hey, irgendwo muss die Suppe ja herkommen.. ;)
 
Und wir haben den ersten konservativen Verschwörungsteoretiker der glaub das Wasser auf dem Mars nur eine Propaganda Aktion für Globalerwärmung ist. Wie man da eine Verbindung sieht ist mir schleierhaft.

Let's look at this Mars business. Yesterday we had the most incredible announcement from NASA that -- and this is what is not reported in the Politico, I don't know if these local TV info people in Dallas even know what I said. I doubt that anybody reporting on what I said actually knows what I said. I doubt that any of them actually went to my website to read the transcript of what I said and then report on it. Even after reading what Media Matters took out of context and reported, their curiosity was not even such that they would go to my website to see if what they were being told was accurate or true. So yesterday, we have this big announcement that they found flowing water on Mars and that two-thirds of the planet used to be an ocean, two-thirds of the Northern Hemisphere used to be an ocean -- it was a mile deep. I raised the question, how do we know this? Have we probed a mile deep? We know that there's always been water on Mars because they have ice caps on the poles. So it's not news that there's water. That's why they said free-flowing water. But that wasn't the big deal. The big deal was that some scientist -- and it was important to call the guy a scientist -- some scientist said that a catastrophic event probably related to climate change on Mars resulted in this. I'm sorry folks, but that's not science and that's not even a good wild guess. How can there be a catastrophic event on Mars when there is nobody there to experience the catastrophe? How can there be a catastrophe on Mars when we can't even prove it? All we can do is wild guess it? And the very fact that my objection to this is being noted is proof positive that there is an agenda attached to this. Otherwise they would leave my comments alone. There is an agenda attached to it and they've got to try and discredit anyone, in this case me, who is attempting to attach whatever they're doing with Mars and the news they're reporting to the Democrat leftist agenda, which, of course, is climate change. And I predicted yesterday that it would not be very long before we would see evidence that my reaction and take on all this is accurate. And lo and behold, right here, in my formerly-nicotine stained fingers, from Yahoo! News, did NASA time its Mars announcement to coincide with The Martian, a movie starring Matt Damon?
