Episode VII Besetzung von Episode VII bestätigt!

Die CAA hat Daisy Ridley unter Vertrag genommen, die aufsteigende junge Schauspielerin, welche die weibliche Hauptrolle in Star Wars Episode VII übernimmt. Geplant ist, dass ihre Figur den zweiten und dritten Film durchlebt, in welchen Looper-Regisseur Rian Johnson Regie führen wird.Ridley erschien in mehreren TV-Serien in London, ehe sie als Resultat einer weltweiten Casting-Suche für den nächsten Schwarm Star Wars-Filme bei Disney besetzt wurde. Vonseiten der Agenturen gab es damals einen regelrechten Auflauf, bei der UTA unterzeichnete sie vor zwei Monaten zuerst.

Tonight Get Your Geek On host David Gremillion revealed on his show that a source had told him some information about Daisy Ridley and John Boyega's roles in Star Wars Episode VII.

Gremillion stated that the source confirmed to him that Ridley's character name is Kira, which fits with rumors we have heard before. The source also added that at some point Kira will take to space in the film flying a starfighter. The source cited seeing footage of Daisy Ridley in a cockpit making maneuvers in space.

Concerning John Boyega's character, the source confirmed to Gremillion that Boyega is indeed playing a Force-user, most likely a Jedi, and wields a lightsaber. This also fits with many rumors we have heard concerning Boyega's role.

It sounds more and more like Ridley and Boyega will be the pillars of the new generation of Star Wars characters.

Several months back actress Christina Chong was rumored to be a part of the cast of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens. Since then her management agency confirmed her involvement, but we haven't heard any more details, or gotten an official confirmation from Lucasfilm. But just a few days ago she opened up to the London Evening Standard about her role in the film. Here's a couple excerpts from their article:

"Few things can cause a hush to fall over a room like admitting you did not watch Star Wars as a child, but coming from Christina Chong it is quite a revelation. For the actress is about to star in the latest film, Episode VII. Don’t worry — she has caught up now. “My boyfriend is a huge Star Wars fan and kept saying I needed to watch it. I was busy doing my thing but got round to watching when I knew I was auditioning. I thought I was going to be watching this dated film but it’s brilliant and timeless. I absolutely loved it.”"
"Those in charge of the Star Wars publicity juggernaut have told Chong she has to be careful and not divulge too much about her role until the hotly awaited film is out next year but she will be working with just about everyone, from Harrison Ford to Carrie Fisher and fellow Londoner Daisy Ridley. “Unfortunately, all I can say is it was incredible to be involved. It is probably the biggest film in cinema history and to be part of that is amazing. People are very fond of it.” Her nieces and nephews are big fans of the originals and do the Chewbacca voice — although Chong won’t."

1.) His voice was unaltered for the trailer.
We know now that the narrator of The Force Awakens teaser was Serkis’ unspecified character, but at first no one was sure which actor was speaking. Was his voice being deliberately masked? “That is the character,” Serkis says, adding that the gravelly, ominous voice is entirely organic. “There’s no digital manipulation. That’s just me.”
2.) Serkis, a pioneer of performance-capture technology, will not play multiple characters in the movie.
The rumor that Serkis will take on more than one part is “not true at all,” Serkis says. “I can say I only play one character.”
3.) Can we safely assume, from that weary voice, that the character has seen some harsh action in the galaxy over the years?
Serkis laughs, and considers what he can reveal. “I have to be very careful about how I answer these questions. The character …” he says, followed by a long pause. “He’s been through some stuff.”
4.) The actor knew those lines would be in the trailer.
It’s true—though Serkis simply didn’t know how large a role his voice would play in those 88 seconds. Apart from the background muttering of droids, his is the only voice that we hear. “Director J.J. Abrams and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy] told me, ‘You’re all over the trailer,’ but I didn’t know what that meant,” Serkis says. “I thought, ‘Oh great, they’re using the voice of the character I play for the trailer. That’s fantastic.’ Not thinking what that would actually translate into.”
5.) Will we see Serkis himself onscreen, or will his character be rendered through performance capture?
“I can’t say a single thing about that. I’m sorry!” Serkis says with a massive grin. “These things will all come out in the fullness of time, I promise.”
6.) Will Serkis’s character lead a “group of unbelievably athletic and acrobatic motion capture characters”?
This report from Jedi News also gets a big laugh out of Serkis – along with a sustained eyeball-roll. “I’m not leading a band of gymnasts or acrobats,” he says.
7.) Did the movie have a different subtitle at one point?
Citing multiple inside sources, Ain’t It Cool News reported over the summer that the title would be The Ancient Fear. Obviously, that proved to be incorrect–but did the title perhaps change? “No, no, it’s always just been called Episode VII to this point,” Serkis says. “Then I knew it was called The Force Awakens. It’s very pertinent.”
8.) Serkis wasn’t present when Harrison Ford broke his leg when a door on the Millennium Falcon malfunctioned.
“No, I wasn’t,” Serkis says. “But I talked to him about it, and it was all dealt with very seamlessly, so it’s all cool. And he’s fully recovered now. And he came back pretty quick.” Were people more cautious around the Corellian freighter after that? “I would think so!” Serkis said.
9.) Spies were all over the set, trying to catch a glimpse of the film.
“People were flying drones over the walls to see what’s going on,” Serkis says. The secrecy is not about wanting to withhold from fans, he added—“it’s about not wanting to spoil anything for anyone. The expectation is massive, and nobody wants to ruin it in any way. I think that’s right. No one wants to, by saying the wrong thing or being misleading, you don’t want to dilute it.”
10.) He’ll be getting an action figure (unless they want an unhappy actor on their hands).
“That, I hope,” Serkis says, crossing his arms. “I’d better.”

Sie ließen mich nicht einmal das Drehbuch zeitig lesen. Sie schickten mich in einen Raum mit all den Kameras und man saß da und las das Drehbuch. Sie sind unglaublich vorsichtig. Denn heutzutage, mit hunderten von Blogs und diesem und jenem sind die Leute sehr gierig nach Inhalten. Daher gab es diese enge Sicherheitsnetz. Es steht dem Prozess ein wenig im Weg, aber es ist verständlich.

Bezogen auf die Spoiler und Leaks kann ich nicht für die Crew oder den Cast sprechen, aber ich dachte immer "warum wartet ihr nicht, bis ihr das richtige Ding zu sehen bekommt?" Aber es war dennoch aufregend für mich. Ich glaube nicht, daß diese Leaks zwangsläufig das Anschauen des Teasers ruiniert haben. Aber diese Plot-Theorien, die nach dem Teaser entstanden sind - sie könnten nicht weiter von der Wahrheit entfernt sein.

Isaac sprach auch ein wenig über seine Szene im X-Wing, für ihn sei "ein Traum wahr geworden".

Es war für mich wirklich schwer zu glauben, daß ich tatsächlich darin saß und das tun konnte. Das Teil ist physisch. Du wirst sofort wieder zum Kind, daß diesen Spielzeug-X-Wing hatte und damit durch sein Kinderzimmer flog und verrückte Sounds nachmachte. Man verfällt in diesen Geist von damals, und das macht unheimlich viel Spaß. Es gab viele praktische Effekte am Set. Und es gab nicht viel Green Screen.
